Boy faces death
It was a devastating day in Burnsville last Tuesday May 25th. Logan Ryder a young boy had just been dropped off at Sky Oaks Elementary by his mother for his very first day of school. The mood changed quickly when his notebook was carried by the wind landing underneath a parked bus. Logan went out to grab his brand new Power Rangers notebook. As soon as he did the new bus driver by the name of Kelsey Beerling started up and ran over him. The bus company First Student has no comment on the event. His leg was crushed instantly by the giant wheels but the rest of his body remained untouched. He was rushed to Fairview ridges where his parents later met him. "Every Parent prays they don't receive the call we got," says the mother of kindergartener Logan Ryder. He has suffered a broken leg and has momentarily lost the feeling in his right leg. Doctors say Logan will be able to recover over the next few months and advises his parents to help him through the experience emotionally as well as physically. "We plan to walk him in ourselves next time," Says Logan's father.
